Audits - Site, Security & Licensing
We can provide an audit of your current network with recommendations based on best practises and our own
experience. This type of audit will determine the security and vulnerability of your network along with detailed
information on the design. This would include the warranty status of key devices such as servers and workstations.
This is necessary to assist with planning when to upgrade or rollover machines.
In terms of security a lot of our new customers they are surprised at the state and risk their information and
systems are in. In many, cases their systems have operated for years with no apparent issue and yet underlying
the design are inherent flaws which make them vulnerable to compromise both externally and internally.
Our security audit process will investigate and recommend solutions appropriate to your requirements from a
design point of view as well as testing the security. In addition, we look holistically at physical security and
the risks to the organization.
Licensing of software can be quite a complex exercise and there can be direct cost benefits to keeping on top of
it. Keeping up to date with the latest releases of software can minimize your exposure to risk as well as being
cost effective over time.
Backup & Disaster Recovery Planning & Strategy
An irreplaceable part of your network is your data (all your files and emails). Yet backing up the data securely
is often the least thought about area of your business. Often the importance is only recognised when the data
is lost and cannot be retrieved.
We have years of experience in dealing with many different businesses and we regard backups and disaster recovery
as one of the most important things we do for our customers. Consequently we are constantly researching and refining
the ways we do this to provide the best solution.
General Support
In addition to our maintenance service, we provide general site support for users and administrators. These tasks
include adding users, applications or printers and other service requests that crop up on a daily basis.
All tasks get managed by our Service Delivery desk, who will then pass it on to your assigned consultant or if
they are unavailable, to the next best technical resource.
Managing IT Expenditure
The complex area of upgrading software, servers, rolling over equipment, licenses and containing support
costs is a common problem for all network administrators and owners.
Along with the customer, we will assist in determining the best solution with operational budgets in mind. This
involves risk analysis and intimate knowledge of the customer's business requirements. All of our customers have an
appointed Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) who will provide this service along with our dedicated sales team.
New Technology
As with any system, there will always be enhancements in technology which generally benefit you - the customer.
We pride ourselves on investing in and investigating the latest technologies. This is,in itself, a major and ever
ongoing project.
Our Customers can rest assured that part of our commitment is to provide the best (and continuing) advice possible
on emerging technologies relevant to their business practices. This covers strategy and planning advice from
initial design scoping and risk analysis to new technologies, security, licensing and upgrade paths.
Network Design
A good network design should be secure, resilient and relatively simple. Our consultants have experience to assess
your business and its processes and come up with a network design that will support your business while ensuring
the security of your data and equipment.
The network infrastructure often does not change when companies grow or applications change and this can cause problems
or slowness for the staff. We can assess your current setup to clear any possible bottlenecks or pressure points
and ensure minimal downtime if any piece of equipment faults.
Our philosophy is to be risk averse in every aspect of this - from our network designs to the implemented
solution and on-going support of your network.
Outsourcing
Often the IT role for a company falls to one internal staff member to save costs. The reality is, it rarely
saves money and in many of cases, costs more in the long run. This also creates added pressure to the individual
by taking them away from their core role.
For many of our customers, we become their IT department, their Help Desk and on-site IT experts. We have a team
of experienced professionals who deal with these issues, day to day and also provide mid-long term planning advice.
Processes & Best Practises
We have processes and methods to supporting and managing networks to bring down the risks and provide a consistently
high level of support to our customers.
Our Service Level Agreements (SLA's) forms the backbone of the relationship between our customers and us. There is
a range of Service Level Agreements to match your service requirements and budget, each level clearly defining the
work and costs that will be performed under that particular SLA Plan Type. It is an incredibly simple concept and
is not based on the number of hours worked allowed each month, but more on business outcomes / deliverables for your
organisation. There are simply a range of tasks, outcomes and regular maintenance that will be performed under the
scope of the SLA.
Proactive Maintenance
All network devices - servers, workstations and routers need patching, checking and monitoring regularly on an
on-going basis. It is remiss not to cover all aspects and components of the environment, to protect and ensure the
integrity of that network.
Our networks are designed from the ground up with this philosophy in mind and our service agreements are based on
that. This extends from the design of the server infrastructure and security to each application that resides at
the desktop end as well as ongoing support and maintenance.

Virtualisation of Your Business Infrastructure
Virtualization is a proven software technology that is rapidly transforming the IT landscape and fundamentally
changing the way that people compute. Virtualization lets you run multiple virtual machines on a single physical
machine, sharing the resources of that single computer across multiple environments.
It dramatically improves the efficiency and availability of resources and applications in your organization.
Internal resources are underutilized under the old "one server, one application" model and IT admins spend too
much time managing servers rather than innovating. A virtualization platform, lets you respond to market dynamics
faster and more efficiently than ever before. Virtualised customers typically save 50-70% on overall IT costs by
consolidating their resource pools and delivering highly available machines.
